Qualifications to start at 7:00pm
This is the final race of the Spring Mini-Series which will award the top 3 drivers in each race division with Certificates. The mini-series is the first 5 of the 10 overall season races. The best 4 of the first 5 races will be used to determine division leaders at the half-way point.
New drivers can join the league for the 5 race Fall Mini-series for $10 league fee..
Guest drivers can race any race for a $5 league fee.
Come give us try. Races are usually the 2nd Wed night of the month.

The 2009 CIRKL Season is officially over. The awards night event was hopefully a lot of fun for everyone.
John Tanaka managed to win the fun (was supposed to be fun) challange race over Toby Rodriguez and the rest of the top racers. No league points but the top drivers are all battling for those top 5 Proscore point positions to get special awards being offered by K1.
The top raffle prize of the go pro helmet wide (not HD) camera went to Ed Bergenholtz (of the famous Bergneholtz drag and drifting racing team). We hope to see some great videos now Ed.
Many thanks again to Robert Dlugos for hosting the www.cirkl.org site with all the times and stats for the league race sites. Thanks again to Brian Guevara for his work on setting up and the care and feeding of this Facebook site. Special thanks to the management, staff and crews at all the K1 facilities where we raced this year.
Finally a big thanks to all the drivers without whom this league would not be possible.
Watch for photos from the Awards night race along with driver photos and race action caught on film by the photographer (Jodi) and hopefully some of the helmet cameras in action to be posted on the facebook site

GUESTS WELCOME
Raffle tickets for a Go Pro Helmet Video Cam and other prizes will be avaiable for purchase.
Raffle tickets will also be awarded for drivers in the challange race and practice sessions.
THIS WILL ALSO BE A POTLUCK event so bring a food dish to share.
CHALLANGE RACE FORMAT:
Two PRACTICE sessions per driver. 8-laps per session
MAIN RACE: Starting positions determined by final league positions. Guest drivers to be grided behind league drivers by lap times.
Each driver will get one free raffle ticket for participating in each practice and race event. Top three times in each practice session group will receive one additional raffle ticket. Top finisher in driver challange to get 5 tickets 2nd to 5th get two. Top 5 finishers in B Main to get one additional ticket.
Trophies and certificates to be awarded to top 5 Pro drivers, top 3 Sport drivers, top 3 teams and top 3 Fall season finishers. Other prizes as determined by night of the event.
If you plan on attending please let me know so I get an idea for head count.

CIRKL Drivers and Guest Drivers.
Get a heads up practice for the final race of the CIRKL 2009 Season at the Anaheim track.
Every Wed is Reverse Racing at the K1 Anaheim track and since our final race on Wed Nov. 11 will be a reverse race you can get some practice in on any Wed. night. Ok so there is only one left before the race on the 11th its still some. Also arrive early on the night of the race and get some practice in before qualifying starts (7:00pm).
Also if you had not heard. Mondays in Ontario are Super Track night. Yes they have arrive and drive on the super track for anyone on Monday nights. Again for GP drivers this is another chance to get some practice in on the normally configured for GP races track layout. Anyone interested in a Monday night carpool run?

RACE FORMAT:
Two 8 lap qualification runs (single best time used for main race grouping)
14 lap Main races
GUEST drivers always welcome.
AWARDS NITE PLANNING:
I am working with K1 to decide the best night and track for our final Fun Race / Awards Presentations and Door Prizes. I plan on awarding raffel tickets in designated CIRKL arrive and drive races as well as selling tickets for some nice door prizes. Any funds left over will be donated to toys for tots. Tickets will be available to any CIRKL driver or Guest driver who raced in any of the 10 points races this season. A tentative date would be Dec. 9 but may change due to the holiday scheduling of K1.

Due to conflicts in scheduling I have agreed to move race 9 from Anaheim to Irvine and race 10 from Irvine to Anaheim. Also a request for your choice of location and date for the Awards Night festivities (see below).
Guest drivers are welcome for any CIRKL event.
REVISED SCHEDULE:
Race 9: Wed. Oct. 14 Irvine track 2 reverse 6:30pm sign-in
Race 10: Wed Nov. 11 Anaheim reverse 6:30pm sign-in
Awards Race: Wed Dec. 9 (cast your vote for track to be considered)
Alternate dates for the Awards Race can be 12/2 or 12/16
AWARDS NIGHT:
We are planning on a pot-luck gathering with a special Top Dog race and end up with presentation of awards:
2009 Season awards:
Top 5 Pro drivers to get trophies and prizes
Top 3 Sport drivers to get trophies and prizes

I am sorry to see that the IKRL.ORG web site is no longer being hosted. The site had great potential for providing indoor karting information to everyone and was an additional source for drivers seeking infomation regarding the CIRKL group.
Many thanks to Mitch Hayden and his hard work and efforts to keep the IKRL.ORG web site going. Here's wishing him much success in the future.
Mitch will be involved in the USIKC in Phoneix and other racing events.
He suggests visiting http://indoorkartingnews.com/ as very good website for indoor karting. There is a link to DRIVERS site where karting drivers can register their experiences. Some CIRKL drivers are already listed there.
It's Sunday Aug. 9th and I did forget to mention the K1 Ontario GP that will be run this evening. Check www.K1Speed.com for more info.

This will be the first time for racing this track Reverse.
If enough CIRKL drivers show up early then perhaps some practice laps will be allowed in the reverse direction.
Carpool: I will be leaving from K1 Irvine location at 5:00pm if anyone would like to carpool. If you want to carpool from another track then just post it here.
